About our Operation Theatres
The operation theatres at Trustmed Hospital are designed around three priorities: sterility, safety and precision. Modular construction, controlled airflow and strict cleaning and sterilisation protocols keep the surgical environment as clean as possible and help lower the risk of infection.
Our theatres support a wide range of procedures, from routine and day-care surgery to complex operations in general surgery, orthopaedics, gynaecology and other specialities. Advanced imaging and monitoring equipment supports minimally invasive and laparoscopic techniques, which can mean less pain, smaller scars and a quicker return to normal life.
Every operation is carried out by a team that includes the surgeon, an anaesthetist and trained theatre nurses and technicians, followed by monitored care in a dedicated recovery area. For patients who need extra support afterwards, the ICU is close at hand.

Practical information
Preparing for your surgery
- Follow fasting instructions exactly. Usually no solid food for six to eight hours before anaesthesia.
- Tell your surgeon and anaesthetist about all medicines, supplements and allergies, especially blood thinners and diabetes tablets.
- Stop smoking as early as possible, and avoid alcohol before surgery.
- Remove jewellery, nail polish and contact lenses on the day, and bring comfortable clothes for discharge.
- Arrange a family member to stay with you, and prepare your home for recovery.
- Ask our insurance desk for pre-authorisation and an estimate in advance.
Insurance and cashless treatment
Most planned surgeries are covered under health insurance, subject to your policy terms, waiting periods and limits. Our insurance desk submits the pre-authorisation request, gives you an estimate before admission and helps you understand what the policy does and does not cover.
